I am all about food and having some fuel during a long lecture or grinding sesh keeps me going. So when you need a little pick me up or do not want to go to the dining halls hopefully these tips can help you out!
The typical college meal people think of is ramen. Those microwavable meals like macaroni and cheese, ramen, and soups are okay in a pinch but they are not the healthiest options. Keep in mind most of the dorms have a kitchen with a stove and oven that you can cook in. Depending on the location you might have to request to use it but remember you must bring your own cooking equipment. So if you would like to make pancakes or bake cookies sometimes you would need your own pans (and stuff to clean it with too). If you feel adventurous get together with friends and make a pizza or a batch of cookies for a study night in, sometimes it's just fun to get together and cook with your friends.

Lunch ideas:
For lunch I typically make a sandwich if for some reason I don’t go to the dining hall. Peanut butter and jelly is super easy but if you have more space in your fridge to keep some meat and cheese it can make a more filling sandwich. If you have your classes straight through lunchtime I definitely recommend packing a snack or even a sandwich to hold yourself over until after. Or even have a late breakfast at the commons if your schedule permits!
Snack ideas:
If you keep some of these on hand in your dorm it will be easy to fuel up and stay focused. You can just eat at the dining halls or the hub all of the time but I found that it was nice to switch it up and of course save a little money! Hopefully these staples help and spring up new ideas as you are planning on what you will need for college.
