Your Guide to Penn State Varsity Sports!

There are so many different sports fields and arenas scattered across Penn State’s campus. It can be easy to overlook them all! With that said, if you have a favorite sport, Penn State probably has a team for you to watch! Everything from football to volleyball to Quidditch, there are games for you to attend. This is a guide to some of the many different places you can attend sports games. Not all sports are covered in this guide, but if you are looking for something specific, www.gopsusports.com is sure to have schedules available for whatever your interests!
To start off, this guide gathers some of the more popular sports amongst Penn State students. Even if you don’t think you will like a certain sport, grab a group of friends and give one game a chance!

Beaver Stadium

Beaver Stadium is the home of our incredible football team! You preorder your season tickets over the summer, but if you missed it, no worries! There are usually tickets available on the Student Ticket Exchange. There are few things in life you can compare to the energy of a Penn State football game, so even if football is not your thing, try to make it to one game just for the experience!
Beaver Stadium also hosts the Blue and White game in the Spring, which is a popular weekend for alumni and tailgating!

Bryce Jordan Center

The Bryce Jordan Center is home of both men and women’s basketball teams. Season tickets are available for purchase for these teams as well. The season starts late fall and continues through late winter.

Pegula Ice Arena

Pegula is the ice rink home to the men and women’s hockey teams! This season is similar to basketball, starting late fall and going through late winter. The student section at hockey games, known as the Roar Zone, always has tons of chants to support our team, so consider attending these games! Season tickets become available early in the semester for purchase.

Jeffrey Field

This is where men and women’s soccer teams play their games! Most games are free of charge to see, so if you are a soccer fan, go enjoy the games throughout the fall!

Rec Hall

Rec Hall hosts many different sports throughout the semester including men and women’s Gymnastics meets, men and women’s volleyball, and wrestling! There always seems to be something going on here to attend, so be sure to check it out!
