Superb Sips

Hey y’all! It’s time to talk about the best place to get coffee or tea on and off campus. If you are anything like me you need enough caffeine to deal with a Monday morning. Lucky for you I grew up in State College and I have done my research. So let’s start with the classic, Starbucks. There are four main starbucks locations. There is one in the HUB, Paterno Library, Downtown near West, and Downtown near South. If you live in South it is just easier to go to the HUB Starbucks because it is a shorter walk even though the line is longer it moves faster. I prefer the Library Starbucks because they have better coffee but the one in the HUB moves faster.

If you live in North there is a coffee shop right next door to you in the Business Building. Saxby’s is run by students, but the prices can be more expensive depending on what you get. I think everyone should go at least once. If you like Panera coffee, there are three locations on campus and one downtown. If you are looking for a good place for local coffee and some small businesses to support I highly suggest Saint’s or Websters. Websters is a small cafe near the two story sheetz it is underground and doesn’t feel like it. There is so much to do there and the coffee is fair trade and organic. It is a great place to study as well. There are a lot of locals who go there because it is one of those unassuming places until you walk inside. Saint’s is a classy place, a bit smaller than your average coffee shop and limited seating but latte art if you need it this is one of the few places that have it. Saint’s is a bit more expensive than most places because of the determination to be the truest hipster place.
