Networking is "the cultivation of productive relationships for employment or business." Success in college is about WHO you know as much as it is about WHAT you know. You will hear Cheryl talk about it constantly, but it truly is as important as she says it. By joining WEPO, you are already off to an amazing start.
You will meet 179 other women your year, in various engineering majors, along with mentors and envoys. Take full advantage and make connections with the amazing women surrounding you. It may sound cheesy, but my success in college has been in large part because of my involvement in WEPO and WEP. Networking with your peers and other college students will give you great practice for when it comes time for the career fair. Through your peers, you will find out about various opportunities within the college, as well as for your future career. If I could give one piece of advice it would be this: network, network, network. You never know where it might take you, or what doors may open up because of it.
